Carly's Present is Lost in the Mail!

Normally I love snow BUT not last weekend's snowstorm which was totally JANK! There was no igloo-building or snowball fights for me cuz it didn't snow in Seattle (where I live). But it certainly affected me -- the Christmas present I ordered online for Carly got stuck in Illinois! I really wanted the present to get here before Christmas so I went to the shipping company's website and instant messaged with customer service. Here is my convo: 

 

Customer Service: Thanks for contacting us. How can I help you?

FBenson (my login name): Hi I’m from Seattle and I want to know the status of my package.

Customer Service: Seattle. What country’s that in?

FBenson: Ummm…the United States. In Washington.

Customer Service: Washington? Wasn’t he a president of something?

FBenson: Listen, I’m in a hurry. Can you just tell me when I will receive my package?

Customer Service: Why do you want your package so bad?

FBenson: Because I ordered it and paid extra money so it’d get here before Christmas! 

Customer Service: Did you get this for your girlfriend? Cause I think you could have gotten her a better gift. I mean a personalized 24 kt gold USB drive is kind of a lame present.

FBenson: How do you know what I got? Did you open the box? 

Customer Service: Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…………..no. Just a lucky guess.

FBenson: Can you please just let me know when I will get my package?

Customer Service: Listen, I’ll give you 20 bucks for the USB drive.

FBenson: No. And I can’t believe you opened the package. It was gift wrapped.

Customer Service: 25 bucks. Final offer.

FBenson: No. I want to talk to your manager.

Customer Service: I can’t hear you. I think we’re losing connection. I’m going into a tunnel.

FBenson: We’re not on the phone. What are you talking about?

Customer Service: Bye. Thanks for the gift!

 

I'm thinking Carly may not get her gift this year. So this morning I asked Spencer what else I should get her. Spencer said he got her nose hair trimmers and that she would probably like a waxing station for her legs. So, I went to the mall and picked it up. She'll like that right?
